The Desire System

This is where it all starts! We begin with Desire!

What is different about this coaching system is it's not about looking for all the problems. We're not starting off with asking: Where are you hurting? Where are you struggling? Where are you in pain?

Instead we ask: What is it that you really want? And, are you able to then integrate and heal and resolve issues inside, on the pathway to getting what you desire?

So, ultimately, it's a pathway of empowerment, a pathway of desire, a pathway of you living the life of your dreams, and leading with desire; which I believe is actually more empowering and more healthy over the long run.

It avoids that trap where you're focusing continuously on what's not working, on what's wrong, on where you're suffering; and instead saying, 'I'm going to put my focus on what I desire, on what could be going amazing, on high vibration emotions that get me where I want to go in life; and then I'll do the healing and the integration work that is necessary to get me there.

I find that this is actually way more effective, because it's not all that motivating to just plough through your pain. It's not all that motivating to just always be working on where you're suffering. But it's very, very motivating to have a higher vision of who you can be and how you can live your life; and let that motivate you, day after day, moment after moment, to address the parts of you that are unintegrated, or in pain, or stuck in trauma.

β€œThe truth is, it takes a long time to transform. It takes a long time to heal childhood wounding trauma. It is a marathon not a sprint, and the willpower to address pain is only so strong. And that willpower will run out eventually.

But to stay motivated day in and day out the way that you need to stay motivated to truly change neuronal patterning to truly create new habits, new skills, new ways of being in life, such that you're not remembering how to be different, you just are different from the inside out; that is a very long game. And to stay motivated to do that, I find that the desires are the motivating factor. Where are you going to end up? Who are you going to be? What are you going to have, if you keep this kind of dedication, day after day after day; to truly improve yourself and your life. And, ultimately, it's not really about desire. We all know some desires can be hollow, we all know, you know, you spend all this time thinking that you're going to get what you want, and you finally get it, and it's not what you thought.

But desires are the key to self-realisation. Your desires are these pings, these impulses from within you. And in following those over and over again, you eventually wake up to a truer expression of who you are; a deeper self-realisation.

So, for those of you who around this point are like, 'well, can't desires be really materialistic? Can't they be really hollow?' They can be. But have you ever found anyone that you try and tell 'look, making a million dollars is not going to make you happy.' If that person really wants to make a million dollars, is that going to stop them? Or having, you know, the career of your dreams is going to end up feeling hollow? If someone really desires the career of their dreams; is that going to keep them from pursuing the career of their dreams? And what are they going to replace it with anyways? It's actually much more empowering for a person to say yes to their desires, on a path where they are guided to be true to themselves, to look deeper inside of themselves, to integrate inside of themselves, to heal inside of themselves. And, to eventually, once they get their desire, realise whether it truly is what they want or not.

Through pursuing and getting desires, people actually come to a deeper and higher realisation of what it is that they truly want, and who they truly are and what they really came to do on this planet. So, in helping someone get their desires over and over again, you're not trying to entrap them in a cycle of endless pursuit, but to use the method by which they get their desires to bring them deeper and deeper into their original essence, deeper and deeper into their truth and to let them pursue desire as a way to showing them who they are and what they really want in their life. It's a really inspired uplifting way to approach, in my experience, personal development, to approach life, to improve what's inside of you. So, I've seen over and over again that when people try and talk themselves out of their desires, it ends up shutting them down; and leading to a kind of sadness. There's nothing like a collection of spiritual people who have talked themselves out of doing what they really want in life because they think that's somehow more holy or better or more spiritual. It actually cramps the very aliveness, the very power, the very energy, that is their ticket to true unity with divinity.” - Layla Martin speech

So, what do YOU desire?

I invite you to start making a list of all that you desire. Get as expansive and big as you can. Notice what you desire in all different aspects of your life. Sex, love, relationships, work, passion, play, etc. But really think - How do I want to feel in my most thriving life?
